Annual Membership Meeting -  Sunday, January 22 – after the second service. Everyone is welcome to attend.

SPIRIT Healing Music for Meditation session with “Georgia Kyle” Shiver will be Sunday, November 6th, from 5:30-7pm.

Circulation Day – Saturday, November 12 – Start cleaning out your closets, drawers, and garage for this much anticipated annual event.  Like new items may be brought to the church a few days before.   Volunteers are needed for set up on Friday, 5:00pm to 8:00pm, and Saturday, beginning at  6:00am.  Please sign up in the sanctuary.

Movie – Sunday, November 13 – 5:30pm -  Forks Over Knives – This acclaimed film featuring the value of plant based diets will be shown at Unity on November 13th at 5:30pm. to coincide with the publication of Rev. Arlene’s cookbook! — “7 Days To Becoming a Vegetarian” by Rev. Arlene Meyer.  Watch for this life changing, inspirational  and educational new cookbook  coming soon.  This special book is filled with delicious recipes, healthful advice, and culinary wisdom. A limited number of books are being printed.  So reserve your signed copy now!

Pet Blessing Service
Sunday, October 2
9:15am & 11:00am
Bring your beloved pets to church with you for this special service  or bring a photograph of your pet.  Pets should be on leash or in a crate/carrier.  Please bring only photos of your pets to the 9:15am Service.

Homecoming Sunday -  October 16
Join together with friends for this special Sunday!  Invite someone new or someone you haven’t seen in awhile.  Homecoming is a time to celebrate and be thankful for friendships.  “Old” members have been found and invited!  So you can expect to have fun renewing acquaintances, swapping stories and catching up on news.  The band and choir will perform at both services. Bring a dish to share after each service and stay for awhile for an old fashioned Sunday visit, a true homecoming!

Fall Sunday Services
9:15am Early Bird Service
This Fall try something new and come to the 9:15am Service!  You know what they say, early birds get the worm, but in this case early birds get a special morning service and get out in time to enjoy all the other Fall events and festivals in the area.  The coffee is always on, and we have an assortment of hot teas too.  Try the early service, we think you will like it!

Spirit Healing Music  – Meditation with “Georgia” Kyle Shiver
Sunday, October 23   5:30pm
Please wear comfortable clothes!  You may sit in a chair, or bring a pillow or Yoga mat, whatever is most comfortable for you.   Kyle will give a brief welcome and talk on meditation,  followed by  one hour of Spirit Healing Music Meditation.  No experience required, all are welcome!

New Member’s Class
There will be 4 classes in this series. October 23, 30, November 6 & 20.
If you are thinking about becoming a member, these classes are required.  Whether you wish to become a member or not, this class will help you learn more about the teachings of Unity.  Class will be held from 12:30 to 1:30pm. (Please bring a snack or lunch if you want.)  Childcare will be provided.  The book, The Simple Truth is available in the bookstore.

Halloween Celebration “Trunk or Treat”
Sunday, October 30
Come to church in a costume or wear a mask to celebrate Halloween!  Fill your car trunk with candy or other treats for  “Trunk or Treat” after the 11:00am service. Adults and children are all welcome to take part in this favorite Halloween Event.

Halloween “Meet & Treat” – Sunday, October 30 – 10:00am – 11:00am
Stay after the first service and come early for the 11:00am service to visit and treat yourself to Halloween cookies, muffins, & fruit.  Hot cider and coffee will be provided.  Please  bring cookies, muffins, fruit, or other finger goodies to share.

A.W.E. Service – Friday, September 30   7:00pm – Are you ready for a kinesthetic inter-spiritual experience?  If so, don’t miss this very special  service that includes drumming, chanting, meditation, poetry, prayer, music and dance! We will be celebrating the Autumn season.

• Bill Smith and Ellen Gross – Sunday, September 18 – Bill and Ellen will bring their jazz and classic stylizing to Unity for both Sunday Services.  Don’t miss this much sought after musical team who will be performing for the first time at Unity!

World Day of Prayer – Thursday, September 8th – Prayer Vigil during the day… and join us in the evening for a special Taize Service with Prayer, Music, and Meditation.

Community Gathering – Sunday, September 11th – 12:15pm – Everyone is welcome and invited to attend this congregational gathering.  Please join us to learn more about future plans for Unity and to voice  any questions, comments,  and concerns you may have.  Join us immediately following the 11:00am service for this great opportunity to discuss and share ideas.

Rev. Terrance Padgett – Guest Speaker   September 25 – Rev. Padgett, Unity’s new South East Region Ministry Consultant, will be speaking at both Sunday Services, and conduct Board Training while he is in Savannah.

SE Regional Conference – September 13 – 17 – Kanuga Retreat Hendersonville, NC.  The Creative Arts Team is honored to be performing at the opening ceremony!  It’s not too late to go, if you stay off site.

Heart Centered Metaphysics Class – Part 4 – Thursdays 6 to 8pm August 4 – September 1st – “Proving the Truth We Know”. It is not required that you have taken the first three parts to take this class taught by Evelyn Wilson, LUT. The class is offered for credit and will include “The Kingdom of Heaven-The Fourth Dimension”, “The Creative Process”, Metaphysical Basis for Wholeness and Health”, and “Creating a Metaphysical Demonstration Plan.”

Unity Dinner Theater – Friday Evening , August 5th – Enjoy a delicious sit-down meal and cabaret style entertainment by the Creative Arts Team! Join us for this fun event that benefits the Music Team’s trip and performance at Kanuga.

Church Luncheon- 12:00noon – Join in a delicious fellowship meal on Birthday Sunday prepared by Bryan Graves; a gift from Jim Beshires who will celebrate his birthday too.

Workshop with Cleveland Beach – Sunday, August 14, 1:00pm – Science explores the benefits of meditation. Workshop: Meditation, What’s the Use? Science explores the benefits of meditation in this workshop. “Living a More Effective Life with the Four Noble Truths of Buddhism” A presentation by Cleveland Beach at both Sunday Services on August 14th.

Cool off with the Prayer Team at a “Watermelon Cut” – Sunday, August 21st 12:00noon – All the watermelon you can eat, and Ice Cream too! $2.00 donation per person.

Multicultural Day & Bring A Friend to Church Sunday – August 28 – Join us as we celebrate cultures around the world with special music & guests. You are invited to wear something that represents your heritage and bring a dish to share. It’s also a great Sunday to bring a friend to church with you!

Youth & Family – Pool Party & Fall Kick Off – August 28th -  4:00pm – 6:00pm
The Royal’s house in Pooler – Uniteens, Y.O.U.ers, friends and families are invited to a BBQ cookout to meet the new leadership team and to learn about the exciting activities.

Please help by donating the supplies, or to the fund drive.

Help is also needed on August 7th to distribute  flyers throughout the neighborhood and to local businesses to notify residents.

Suggested supplies include:  writing tablets,spiral notebooks w/dividers, wide ruled paper, safety scissors, colored pencils and crayons, glue/glue sticks, clear or mesh book bags, tissue, 3×5 index cards, washable markers, zippered pencil pouch, sealed box of disks, rulers – metric & standard, red, black, & blue pens, composition books, highlighters, colored pencils, USB flash drive, #2 pencils w/erasers, 3 ring binders, white loose-leaf notebook paper, scientific calculators, combination lock, date organizer/planner, computer copy paper, and paper clips.

Saturday, August 13 free school supplies will be available in the Fellowship Hall 9:00am to 12noon – or as long as supplies last.

This is a prosperity transforming course of commitment that includes tithing, volunteering, and meditation. Materials costing $49.50, including 12 CD’s and a Word for Word Workbook that must be ordered, so please sign up early in the Sanctuary.
