Our minister Rev. Dale Worley is taking a well-deserved sabbatical during the months of September, October, and November.
Sunday, September 3, is Rev. Dale’s final service before traveling to India and Mexico.
We are celebrating this special Sunday with lots of music at both the 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM services, including guest vocalist and violinist Brenda Gambill-Stewart and guitarist Gina Stewart from the Carolina Center for Spiritual Awakening in Charlotte.
Rev. Dale is requesting Indian and Mexican food for the potluck after the 2nd service. Bring your favorite international dish to share at 12:30! Let’s give Rev. Dale our best Unity Savannah blessing before he begins this exciting spiritual adventure.
He returns home to Unity of Savannah on the first Sunday in December, just in time for the Advent season.
The Sabbath is kept any time we enter into spiritual consciousness and rest from thoughts of temporal things. We rest from outer work, cease daily occupation, and give ourselves up to meditation or the study of things spiritual. – from “The Revealing Word” by Charles Fillmore
