If Music Be the Food of Love, Play On!
Join singer Rebecca Flaherty and pianist Sanford Jones for an evening of some of their favorite pieces. They have selected a broad range of works from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Modern eras including Un bel di from Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly”, Debussy’s Claire de Lune and Sanford’s own setting of three Emily Dickerson poems. Rebecca’s husband, Dan Flaherty, will join her for a surprise duet! Light refreshments will be served afterward in our Fellowship Hall.
Unity is receiving a love offering during the evening and 100% of this goes to support Sanford Jones’ programs.
This event is a “Food Raiser” for Farm Truck 912.
Farm Truck 912 is a mobile farmers’ market that brings locally sourced seasonal fruits and vegetables to Savannah neighborhoods. Unity is collecting food at the “Food of Love” concert to support a new giveaway program by Farm Truck 912. Please bring 2 lbs. bags of any of the following items:
- Pasta
- Dried Beans (Black, Garbanzo, Pinto, etc.)
- Lentils
- Oats
- Couscous
- Millet
- Quinoa
- Grits
- Tortillas
