Explore the teachings and impact of Emmet Fox, one of New Thought’s most influential spiritual leaders. Led by Unity ministerial candidate Robert Turner.

Emmet Fox, more than anyone else, was responsible for bringing New Thought to a broad audience in the US and throughout the world. Upon arriving in the US from his native Ireland in 1931, Emmet Fox as a Divine Science Minister began to draw twice weekly audiences in New York City of several thousand attendees. Millions of others were introduced to Emmet Fox through his books and radio broadcast. These activities paved the way for Eric Butterworth and other New Thought leaders.

This six-week class begins on Thursday July 8. Classes start at 7 PM EST and last approximately 90 minutes.

The Golden Key

We will explore how Emmet Fox moved from being an engineer in London to become one of the most famous New Thought leaders ever. We will discuss his famous pamphlet, The Golden Key, where he introduces a very simple but powerful approach to focusing one’s thoughts away from negativity to God.

The Sermon on the Mount

We will also discuss in detail Emmet Fox’s most notable book, The Sermon on the Mount, where he discusses the most famous and lengthiest speech of Jesus. This includes the Beatitudes and the Lord’s Prayer. A copy of the Golden Key Pamphlet will be made available via a shared file. The Sermon on the Mount Book is available at the Unity of Savannah bookstore or through Amazon.

After a successful 40 year career in investments, Bob Turner was moved by Spirit to study to become a Unity minister. He has completed his studies and is now an intern with Rev. Dale Worley at Unity of Savannah.

Bob has been a follower of Unity and New Thought for over 40 years; however, a Unity Spiritual Center was not available to Bob, his wife Carolyn and their four children in Philadelphia. So Bob’s Unity involvement was through reading, listening and attending Unity services throughout the country including Savannah where Carolyn and he have a second home.

Recently, Bob and Carolyn decided to make Savannah their permanent residence and joined Unity of Savannah. We welcome Bob and Carolyn to our spiritual community!
