Mindfulness for Dummies

An experiential book study and discussion on the science of mindfulness using the book “Mindfulness for Dummies” by Shamash Alidina.

  • Take small steps to being more mindful
  • Understand the latest research on mindfulness and the brain
  • Learn the importance of self-compassion and self-care

This is an experiential group. Participants will immerse themselves in various mindfulness practices using the book as a guide.

Although this is an 18 week study, it is not necessary to attend every meeting of this group to enjoy the benefits of mindfulness. You are welcome to attend as many or as few of the sessions as you are able.

This book is not available in the Unity bookstore. You are encouraged to order a digital or physical copy of the book online.
